Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) is a not-for-profit aged care organization, providing quality support and care, comfort and security in a Christian Environment.
At Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT), we promote our clients’ independence by providing services which meet the needs of our people to enable them to live at home and enjoy life to the fullest.
We do this by offering a package of care for older people in their own homes. These packages are designed to support people who need help with day to day activities to remain at home and continue to be apart of their local community. Our services are diverse and our clients’ needs are our highest priority.
Services we provide
The care and services we provide for our clients can include:
- Personal care, including bathing and dressing
- Assistance with shopping, doctor’s and other appointments
- Light cleaning and housework, including laundry and ironing
- Preparation of meals
- Respite care
- Outings and social activities
- 24-hour emergency call system
- Gardening
- Case management
Our services are tailored to each client’s individual needs. Hours of care are flexible and can be varied as care needs change.
More than care
Our care focuses on encouraging our clients to remain part of their local community. We can attend events with our clients and provide support to participate in regular activities and entertainment.
We offer opportunities for social interaction with other clients and work with our clients to ensure they are offered the most appropriate activities, in line with their interests and local networks.
We also provide a respite for carers’ service, focused on support for the primary carer. This can include in-house respite or respite to out local residential care facility.
